plasma light bulb.jpgFrom the “I’ve always kinda wanted one of those” department comes the plasma light bulb, which is one of those ubiquitous low budget sci-fi TV show props that is nonetheless mesmerizing. Except this one doesn’t just sit on your table, getting hot and being useless after the first five interesting minutes have exhausted themselves. This version works in any conventional light socket. Think of it: you could treat your guests to a “plasma” show at the flick of a switch. And at only 10 bucks each, it would make for one trippy, pretty low cost chandelier.
