This commercial for the Honda Insight hybrid was made by lining 1,000 cars up in the desert to create what could be the world’s largest display with their headlights. It was the brainchild of Wieden+Kennedy, who were also responsible for what is arguably (I’d argue for it) the greatest car ad of all time. Watch the making of video, after the jump.

Nice to see they found a use for all those unsold cars…
woaw, making a commercial for an environement-friendly car using 2000 cars in the desert, that's really really what should have been done… (!)
Evan, I hope they paid you to run their ad. 😉
…. then before anyone could react five thousand fans from Burning Man ran in and lit all the cars on fire.
Psh, what do you take me for? ::drive off in new Insight::
love the car commercial but me thinks it's the car headlight effects are just computer generated…
