I’ve no problem with the eco-friendly idea behind those flashlights you either crank or shake to charge, but in practice I find them impossibly annoying. I mean who wants to be stranded in the woods with their arms so tired from charging their flashlight that they can’t even punch a bear? The BunBun Eco Light however, now that’s a different story.

To charge the flashlight you extend and twirl the handle, so not only does the action let you build up a little momentum to make things a bit easier, but it also lets you re-enact your childhood fantasies of being everyone’s favorite ninja turtle, Michelangelo. (Possibly even fighting off a bear in the process.) 30 seconds of costume-less ninja turtle cosplay should give you about 5 minutes of light from the BunBun’s 3 LEDs, and it’s expected to be available sometime in April in pink, green, purple or black for about $22.
