Yep that’s right. CDW is now selling a 64GB flash drive for $5,739.99 which means there’s actually a good chance that the car that key belongs to is worth less than the flash drive being used as a keychain. I guess on the plus side the paranoia of having one of these attached to your keys will make you far less likely to accidentally misplace them.

As for specs the flash drive of course supports USB 2.0 (though at that price I’d expect at least USB 4.0 or 5.0) which allows for 20 Mb/s read and 15 Mb/s write times and comes in a sturdy, ribbed metal alloy case.

The BUSlink flash drive is currently available at CDW and if you don’t feel like dropping that amount of cash at one time you can instead pay for the drive in monthly installments of $178.17.

  1. bring your favorite linux OS + all your apps, and a handful of your music with you everywhere… most bios let you boot from the USB…this would be awesome… never leave without your data
