iGo is known for their line of multi-device chargers. They use an array of interchangeable tips to allow you to charge pretty much anything under the sun. But they do other things as well, and one product that caught my eye is the iGo Green Technology Surge Protector. It’s basically a glorified powerbar with a halfway decent design that won’t look terrible next to your entertainment center. But more importantly, what it does is stop your devices from sucking power when they’re on standby. It features 8 sockets: 4 regular ones, and 4 with the iGo Green Tech. So, lets say you plug your plasma into one of the 4 green ones, when you turn it off, it wont keep on drawing power. In the long run, this can save you a bunch of money, and well, like pretty much everything at CES this year, is Green.
It’s going to cost $69 and be available this summer.

So what, when you press POWER on the the plasma remote, the plasma won't turn on again because the power to is has been cut by the iGo? I don't get it? How is that helpful?
My understanding is that it doesn't completely cut the power that goes to the plasma. You're still able to turn your set on, but the specifics of how they do this, they wouldn't elaborate on.

This is a good kind of surge protectors because of its “iGo Green Technology” which can really help especially when it comes to electric consumption because it is said in the article that it stops your devices from sucking power when they’re on standby and that's good because others doesn't know that even the device is on stand by mode it can really suck power but with this product it will be really convenient because there are no more worries if a device didn't unplugged, it make sure that the power consumption will be stop.
