Tired of getting out of bed and looking out the window to see what the weather is like in the morning? I know I am. Well the Sharper Image has once again found a solution to another of life’s little inconveniences. The Color Weather Forecaster uses a 3.8 inch LCD screen to display a colorful photograph representing what the day’s weather will be like, complete with sound effects.

For example on a sunny day you’ll see an image of palm trees and cabanas under a clear sky with sounds of seabirds and surf. On a rainy day a picture of tulips caught in a sudden downpour accompanied by the sound of pouring rain. The Forecaster uses an outdoor temperature and humidity sensor (runs on 2 AAA batteries) that remotely connects to the base unit up to 50 meters away providing all the data the device needs for its daily forecast. It also comes with basic alarm clock functions and can automatically sync time VIA the U.S. Atomic Clock.

Of course all this convenience doesn’t come cheap. The Color Weather Forecaster, available from Sharper Image will set you back $159.95.
