The Commute-Case looks like something you’d see on the Jetsons with its sleek and futuristic design. While it looks like some strange contraption to be used to wheel your briefcase around, it’s actually much more than that. It’s a compact electric scooter that folds into a briefcase or trolley when it’s not in use.
When you’re ready to go, just fold it open and scoot along. The Commute-Case weighs 27 pounds with a weight capacity of 275 pounds. It has a top speed of 12.5mph and boasts of a 25-mile range. Like most scooters, it’s weatherproof and comes with a manual handbrake.

@neotechni, it should cost about that. While the idea is very neat and jetsony, unfortunately it doesn’t really fill a need in today’s world. It’s essentially a razor scooter with a motor and briefcase attached. Unless everyone buys one, you won’t be able to take it on the road with much bigger vehicles and bicycles still taking up all the space and whizing by you at 2x and 3x the speed. How are commuters in big cities supposed to ride it on the sidewalk with everyone walking on it? 12.5 mph is probably pretty generous, and close to what you could get anyway on the aforementioned razor. Going anywhere uphill will get you only a small fraction of that number too. 27 lbs isn’t practical either unless you enjoy carrying 2.5 bowling balls in one arm everywhere you go, but I guess trolly mode fixes that. Old people probably won’t be able to keep their balance due to the jacked up center of gravity. It looks like this device will be relegated to mostly hipsters, and airport nuisances.
