DogT

Don’t leave your dog with nothing to do when you’re off at work or running some errands. Flip over to the DOGTV channel instead, and let them watch some dog-themed shows on the tube while they wait for your return. “What’s DOGTV?”, you might ask. Well, it’s a television channel that features programming that’s “scientifically programmed” for your dog.

DOGTV’s 24/7 programing helps stimulate, entertain, relax and habituate dogs with shows that expose them to various movements, sounds, objects, experiences and behavior patterns, all from a dog’s point of view.

While not taking any official position, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) said any relaxation and stimulation for pets is good. But it doubted that all dogs will take to it.

So this might actually be interesting…if it actually worked. To be honest, my dog is so frisky and energetic that I doubt I could get her to sit and just watch television while I’m away.

DirecTV will offer DOGTV for $10/month for 24 hours of programming. Apparently, talks about a TV channel for cats are also underway, too.
