So today the F1 season takes off in Melbourne. You should keep your eyes peeled for driver Heikki Kovalainen who drives for Caterham F1. He’ll be wearing the helmet you see above, featuring the red bird as well as the Angry Birds logo. Kovalainen is from Sweden Finland, which is where Rovio is headquartered, so it was a perfect fit for the company.
It’s no secret that the franchise has been printing money lately and they’ve also been spending it. To promote their upcoming Angry Birds In Space, they got to work with NASA and astronaut Don Pettit to make an announcement for them from the International Space Station. We also reported that the company was preparing to launch a series of themed activity parks across Europe.
Things appear to be good over at Rovio, and it’s all thanks to those little birds.
