Let it be a commentary on our lives today that someone somewhere thought it a good idea to create a one-key keyboard dedicated to the mighty hashtag. The HashKey for the social media junkies out there who spend their days tagging their posts with endless keywords in the hopes that they’ll get picked up in searches, and people will “like” the posts, and they’ll finally be able to convince themselves that it’s not really the posts all these strangers like, but actually them… Or something. The point is you’re looking at a USB-conencted gadget whose only purpose is to generate the ASCII character “#” on your screen. Yes, it’s an actual product but no, you can’t just outright buy it. You’ll have to pledge £18, or roughly $28, to get yours by March 2015. However, the campaign is far from fully funded, and no one is really surprised.
