I know it’s not exactly the best time of the year to be writing about accessories designed to increase the amount of heat in your home but these Hearthfalls are definitely a unique idea. When the crackling sound of a roaring fire just isn’t peaceful enough you can now add the soothing sound of falling water as well.
From what I can tell the Hearthfalls are a full sized facade that can be placed in front of your existing fireplace that includes pumps and resevoirs necessary to keep the waterfall running. And of course the whole thing is designed so that no water actually splashes onto the roaring fire accidentally putting it out and kicking up clouds of smoke. Alternately if your home doesn’t have a fireplace you can use the Hearthfalls as a standalone decorative faux-fireplace instead when placed against an empty wall. It’s probably a bit less dramatic with just the waterfall and no fire but maybe you can stick a small barbecue in there to compensate.
The cost of the Hearthfalls varies based on the size, style and building materials you choose but run about $2,000.
