Logitech G9 Laser Gaming Mouse (Image via Logitech)

Today Logitech officially announced its new laser gaming mouse called the G9. The G9 integrates the fantastic free wheel scroll from the Revolution line of Logitech mice. The scroll wheel can be changed to click mode as well for more accurate gaming.

The G9 has on-the-fly adjustable sensitivity from 200 to 3200 dpi and full speed USB with up to 1000 reports per second. Internal memory allows you to save up to five profiles and then use them on other computers without the need for drivers. Another cool feature of the G9 is changeable grips to customize the feel of the mouse.

At E3 I was able to play with the G9 hands on for a bit and found it to be very comfortable with both grips the G9 ships with and very accurate during gaming. I preferred the flatter Wide Load grip, but those who use their fingers more for mouse control can opt for the Precision grip. The G9 will be available in September for $99.
