Patch Biodegradable Paper Watches (Image courtesy Atlanus)
By Andrew Liszewski

You’ll never have to feel guilty about owning a different timepiece to match every outfit in your wardrobe with these Patch watches from Geneva-based watchmaker Atlanus. They’re actually made from biodegradable paper with a special coating that makes them waterproof and tear-resistant so they should survive a few nights out on the town. They’re currently available in 10 blinding colors plus a small collection of prints for ~$34 (€24) a pop, though personally I think all the colored bands should be sold as a single kit with a removable LCD display that can be swapped into each of the bands as needed. But I understand there’s a profit to be made, which in this case is probably around $33.52 for every watch sold.

  1. I am impressed, I have to say. Really seldom do I come across a site that’s both informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your opinion is important; the matter is something that not a lot of people are speaking intelligently about. I am really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.
