Gone are the days of overcooked pasta, charred meatloaves or otherwise incompetently cooked meals. At least, that should be the case if the JIC-B732GR talking stove from Sanyo works as advertised. It allegedly alerts you when your water is boiling, or when your meal is cooked with a lovely musical tone. Also, it comes preloaded with a few recipes, which it can guide you through, step-by-step, with a hopefully calm and composed voice.
There will be only 40,000 units made, and they fetch up to $2,500. In Japan only, of course.
