Ice Kabobs (Image courtesy CalliopeBoutique.com)By Andrew Liszewski

It’s 2006 already and still ice cubes are really the only way to keep a drink cold on a hot summer day. Sure they work great, but you always end up with a rather watered-down beverage once all the ice has melted away. (It’s not like you’re going to fish the ice out once the drink has cooled enough.)

Ice Kabobs use a unique silicone rubber tray (food grade of course) to freeze water around a swizzle stick, essentially giving you ice cubes on-a-stick. As a result the simple act of stirring your drink also serves to cool it off. The Ice Kabob also makes removing the ice a cinch before it completely melts into your beverage.

The Ice Kabob molds and swizzle sticks are available from Calliope Boutique for $10.00. (Includes 1 tray and 3 sticks.)
