This is birdwatching for the lazy technophile. It’s called The Song Sleuth Birdsong Detective by Wildlife Acoustics, and allows you to do pretty much what its name suggests. Point the directional microphone towards any fugly feathered friend in a furious fit of (ah crap, ran out of “f” words…), well, chirping and it’ll pull from its presumably extensive database to tell you just what you’re pointing at.
