A lot of things happened in 2013. Athletes got injured, while some sporting events gained traction. New video games were released, and several consoles went head to head shortly after their releases. Some epic TV shows ended, but some pretty awesome new ones quickly took their place. There was the rise of a leader and the fall of several. Some important revelations were made by a whistleblower who’s still on the run. This made headlines at first, until some celebrities antics onstage distracted the world from the news that mattered.

Tasked by Beutler Ink with cramming as much of this as possible into a single image is artist Mario Zucca. The result is the drawing above, which is pretty impressive in itself. You can check out Mario’s site for some behind-the-scenes info and for a list of the events depicted in the image.

As luck and a whole lot of work would have it, Hazel got her cake and is eating it, too: sifting through endless paperwork during the day while blogging for various tech and gadgetry blogs during the night. She also established her own gadgetry blog recently, which you can check out at Gigadgetry.com.
