For the same amount of money that buys a pretty nice car, you can get a fridge instead. Of course, when fully decked out at $40,500 the Meneghini La Cambusa refrigerator does a few more things than to keep the turkey frozen until Thanksgiving. Looking nothing like a fridge, the modular design lets you customize the various options to your heart’s content. With the “all-dressed” option, aside from a gigantic fridge and freezer compartment, you get “space for a coffee maker, a fitted pantry or a double pantry, an ice-maker, a microwave oven, a steam oven and multi-function oven.” The exterior surface is “treated in 3 aniline colours (ebony effect, pomegranat and colonial), [and is an] ash dyed aged oak or a lacquered ash in various Ral and Woodcolor Sayerlack colours.” We… don’t understand what any of that means, but hey, solid wood doors! The La Cambusa is 8ft. across and a little over 7ft. tall, and heaven knows just how heavy.
