So, you know, the movie’s coming out soon. People are going crazy, pumping out merch left and right, so it stands to reason you’re going to come across some outrageous stuff. Like this BB-8 Droid above. It’s a collaboration between Disney Consumer Products and Kay Jewellers, it stands just 4.25? high and weighs just over 1.5 lbs. Made from 18-carat yellow gold, this iconic piece of merchandise is decked out in around 860 diamonds amounting to 18 carats. It took 600 hours to make, and “will be displayed at the Force 4 Fashion exhibit in New York and auctioned off for charity later this month.” It’s valued at $135,000, but there’s no telling how much frenzied collectors will dish out for it once it hit the auction block.
