The mother of all unHoly graphic cards is the newly released Quadro Plex 1000 from nVidia. With a starting price of $17,500 and three of your kidneys, the Quadro Plex is designed to handle 12MP HD video and scientific visualisations.
“According to Nvidia, a node can achieve up to 64x full scene anti-aliasing (FSAA), deliver a performance of up to 148 megapixels on 16 synchronized digital-output channels and eight HD SDI channels. The firm says that the fill rate reaches 80 billion pixels/s while the geometry performance is rated at seven billion vertices/s.”
Uh huh. Better make sure the system you’re running this on cost you at least as much, less you create data bottlenecks someplace.
