When I saw this wireless TV speaker I immediately knew it was a perfect solution for certain family members of mine (who will remain nameless) who tend to turn their televisions up way too loud. Since their TV always seems to be a bit too far away they compensate by cranking the volume. Great for them but bad for anyone else in the house.
The idea of the TV Hear is to simply bring the speakers closer to the person watching the television. It uses 900MHz wireless technology to transmit crystal clear sound from the TV to the speaker with a range of about 30 feet. The speaker is powered by an AC adapter but can be made even more portable with 6 AA batteries. While a surround sound system is probably a better solution in terms of sound quality, they’re not exactly designed to fit in something like a bedroom setting where this would probably be ideal.
The TV Hear is available at Brookstone for $75.
This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Why in the world is it not available? I have friends who want one and I need another.
