I realize I’m one of a rare few who actually misses trackballs, particularly when it comes to laptops, but I can’t help but feel that Sanwa is making fun of people like me by naming their new USB keyboard, which features a built-in trackball, the ‘1999.’ Are they somehow hinting that trackball technology is old and dated? Because I guess they’re right. And while I do miss trackballs, I don’t miss them enough to drop over $90 on a keyboard.

Never had one and never wanted one.
I have a trackball mouse, and I will use no other. I miss my Logitech thumb mouse but the Logitech forefinger one isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I've seen setups similar to this in internet kiosk at airports. While I used trackballs before, I've never owned one, so I haven't developed strong feelings for them. They seemed usable.
You can still buy trackball’s (Logitech). I have them on all my computers. Probably left over from my days of playing Missile Command. Like mentioned, great for Laptops and they are great for CAD work.
I have seen a similar one but the treackball mouse was on the far right
As I sit here using a Logitech Marble Mouse because I can't stand the touchy pad.
I still have a logitech thumb ball. Love it. will never leave it
