As aftermarket vehicle trackers go the GPS Snitch is probably the easiest to use since it requires no installation. It’s about the size of a paperback novel and once you’ve charged it up you just hide it somewhere in your car. Besides containing a GPS receiver the Snitch also includes a GSM antenna and its own SIM card.

Before leaving your vehicle you either set the Snitch to be motion activated or you can setup a virtual security perimeter when logged into the company’s website. If your vehicle starts moving or leaves the predefined perimeter it will be tracked via GPS and you’ll be immediately alerted with an email or text message on your phone. You can then log back into the GPS Snitch website and track your vehicle’s location on an interactive map. And maybe if you have time you can even alert the police.

Unfortunately the GPS Snitch is not so user-friendly on your wallet. The hardware is $399.99 plus a $15 – $26 monthly fee and a $30 activation fee. Unless your car is a rare collectible it might be worthwhile to put that money towards some theft insurance instead.
