If you’ve read “The DaVinci Code” (you filthy atheist), then you know what a Cryptex is. If you haven’t, the skinny is that it’s a somewhat ancient way of storing sensitive documents and keeping them from being read by the wrong people. It was allegedly used by the master DaVinci himself and the way they work is a little intricate to explain in limited space. Alternatively, it is a purely imaginary creation by author Dan Brown. Whether they were real or not, they are now. Company Cryptex.org is selling custom, hand-made versions of the things, with some models fetching as much as $1,065.
Oh, and by the way, I’ve been told that I’m a filthy atheist too!
