Just came across a great site: Grand Illusions. They sell some cool stuff that’s sure to make you popular with the ladies. Pictured above is a device that performs Diamagnetic Levitation, also known as “making stuff float with magnets”. If you come inside, there’s a very nice video that shows you the device in action. The science behind it is dense, but essentially involves four superstrong neodymium magnets in a specific arrangement.
Also, I’ve included footage of another cool toy: the Rising Golden Ball. It’s just a golden ball, some string, a couple pulleys and more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
