The headline pretty much sums up what this fantastic pen can do. It’s called Cronzy, and packs a special ink with a mechanism that will mix it on the fly and produce any of 16 million colors. You can pair the pen with a smartphone and select any of these colors through an app. Better yet, the Cronzy has a color scanner: just point it at any object and it’ll instantly start writing in that color! It works a lot like the eyedropper tool in most photo editing applications. The pen comes with 5 interchangeable nibs so you can write and draw in different styles, with different width lines. It’s stored in a special carrying case, which also doubles as a charger.

Imagine the possibilities for any artist out there. Provided it works as advertised, and the ink doesn’t run out too quickly or cost too much to replace, the Cronzy could be a hit. It’s being crowdfunded on Indiegogo at the moment, and they’re still far from their $200,000 goal. But given the nature of the product, we wouldn’t be surprised if they went viral at any moment and smashed through their objective. It’s still time to get in the Very Early Pricing of $139, and hurry up because it goes up to $219 after that.
