We wrote about the ZBoard about 2 years ago. It’s an electrically powered skateboard with a top speed of 17mph, and a range of 5 miles. It’s claim to fame at the time was that it didn’t require a hand-held remote, instead receiving its throttle instruction from two pressure sensitive pads on the deck. Lean forward to go forwards, and backwards to stop. It’s a fun way to zip around town and if you run out of battery, you can also keep going the old fashioned way (albeit with a little extra weight than normal). Usually the ZBoard is $650, but we’re shaving $100 off today.
