While not an officially licensed LEGO product this DIY LEGO flash drive still looks remarkably well done. Made by Tim P the design was based off a picture of another LEGO USB drive he saw online but with no instructions to work from he had to create his drive from scratch. Using some glue and a bit of sanding Tim mounted a small, cheap 128 MB flash drive into some standard LEGO bricks and even managed to fashion a tight-fitting USB end cap. As a bonus the read/write LED on the flash drive circuitry still shines through the LEGO brick when it’s powered on.

Thankfully Tim made sure to document his own design and has made the easy to follow instructions available online. There’s even a gallery of the flash drive available on Brickshelf.com so you can see how the finished product turned out.
