I used to travel quite a bit for work and it really only took one trip to realize that the average hotel room did not have enough power outlets to accomodate my gear. And since going around and unplugging lamps, clocks and coffee makers was going to be more pain than it was worth I started packing a powerbar instead.
Of course the one I used to travel with was large and clunky but the Outlets To Go powerbar from Monster Cable was specifically designed with the traveller in mind. It has an ultra-flat design including the plug and cord and has 6-outlets in total with 3 on each side.
Now usually I find Monster Cable’s offerings to be laughably overpriced but the Outlets To Go powerbar is available for a reasonable $29.95.

looks like an interesting product, but I make it a point to never buy anything from Monster. They always sue other companies over their stupid name.
