When you realize that your SD card has more storage than the average laptop, you can’t help but feel that Moore’s law is still alive and well at least in one segment of the industry. SanDisk, a Western Digital brand, is reportedly working on a 1TB SDXC card. It has a working prototype that it is currently showing off at Photokina, in Cologne. This doubles the capacity of the record-breaking 512GB SanDisk Extreme PRO® SDXC UHS-I Memory Card that it demonstrated at Photokina 2014, and makes it an appealing product to any 4K or 8K video-recording enthusiasts. It’s just a prototype at the moment, so we don’t have any key specs like read/write speeds or even price, but don’t expect this to be cheap.
