If you’re the type of parent who documents all the minutia of their new arrival’s daily routines, you might want to make things easier on yourself with this Day to Night Baby Log from Skip Hop. Instead of trying to make sense of random notes jotted down on verious scraps of paper, the log features dedicated sections to document daily feedings, changing times and sleep schedules for a 6-month period.

But what sets the Day To Night book apart from other logs, and partly justifies its $39 price tag, is the illuminated ‘Time Capsule’ found in the book’s spine. It’s got four diffused LED lights to illuminate the pages, making it easier to jot notes at night without waking up the little one, and a backlit LCD clock and timer so you always know what time it is, or how long that nap should last. Experienced parents will probably think it’s a little overkill, but new moms and dads might find a bit of extra peace of mind by keeping track of all this information.
