For any amateur photographer out there, this next (not new) item might be of interest, even though it makes a rather asinine use (of the already overused) word “pod”. It’s essentially a beanbag with a plate and mounting bolt on top. The fact that it’s a beanbag allows you to put your camera in places that a regular tripod might have a little more trouble handling, such as the side of a rock or a fence.
