led-star-bracelet

With the amount of beauty right here on Earth, it’s sometimes easy to forget just how amazing outer space can be. Fortunately for us, the good folks at NASA have the Hubble Telescope pointed at the stars, capturing amazing images like the one used on this Celestial Fireworks Bracelet.

This Celestial Fireworks Bracelet celebrates a spectacular image captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope of Westerlund 2, a cluster in the constellation Carina. (It’s 20,000 light years away, so this image really is that old.) On its own, it’s a gorgeous image, but we’ve highlighted the young star cluster’s sparkle by adding 15 tiny twinkling white LED lights to represent more foreground stars. They’re powered by a rechargeable battery; the hinged bangle ships with a proprietary USB charging cable to keep it entwinkling. But there’s an on/off button, too, in case you prefer it dark. Either way, it’s a fabulous tribute to the magnificence that is space and mankind’s exploration of it.

A single charge can have the bracelet twinkling for up to 8 hours at a time. It weighs 3.2 oz. and costs all of $60.
