The term ‘Pod’ seems to have made it’s way into a large variety of products these days. The UltraPod Mini measures only 5 inches long when folded and is definitely one of the smallest tripods I’ve seen. It comes with a standard camera screw mount attached to a ball-joint making it fully adjustable.
When the legs are folded the UltraPod Mini is designed to contour to a tree limb, railing, or chair and can be secured to any similarly shaped structure with an included Velcro strap. While it’s designed primarily for light P&S cameras, the UltraPod Mini does raise the question as to when we’ll start seeing tripod screw mounts on camera phones.
The UltraPod Mini can be yours from ThinkGeek for $14.99.
